Description

By applying to this offer, you will have the opportunity to join the operator of a major cross-border road infrastructure in the heart of the Alps: a one-of-a-kind industrial site, where safety and continuity of operations are at stake around the clock. Around 230 French and Italian employees work there side by side every day.
As part of a priority recruitment, you take charge of the Electrical, Electromechanical, Mechanical and Energy Management department. Reporting to the Head of the Technical Department, you sit at the top of the technical management pyramid: 4 unit managers report to you, 15 to 20 people in total.
Your missions, should you accept them
1. Maintenance and operations
  • Organise and implement the preventive maintenance plan and corrective maintenance interventions within your scope
  • Ensure the operation of electrical, lighting and power distribution systems, as well as all electromechanical safety equipment (ventilation, smoke extraction, fire network and detection, response vehicles)
  • Manage palliative interventions while minimising the impact on the operation of the tunnel
  • Organise and manage the department's on-call duty
  • Supervise external contractors

2. Steering, budget and continuous improvement
  • Monitor and analyse intervention data through the CMMS, build the department's KPIs and turn them into improvement plans
  • Prepare and monitor the department's budget, implement corrective action plans, report to the Head of Department
  • Contribute to renewal and investment projects: identify and propose investments, develop the maintenance plan
  • Keep up with technological, regulatory and standards developments in your field, and lead projects to reduce the environmental impact of electrical and lighting installations

3. Management and safety
  • Manage the team: workload planning, resource allocation, skills development, individual objectives and HR reviews
  • Ensure the safety of employees and contractors at work, define safety processes and make sure they are applied
  • Develop and share technical expertise within the department
  • Handle the administration of your scope: commit services in line with purchasing processes, follow up files and contracts

Requirements

And you?
  • You hold an engineering degree (or an equivalent Master's / laurea, obtained in France or Italy)
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a technical position, in electrical and/or mechanical engineering
  • You have at least 2 years of team management experience and have already managed at least 10 people, ideally 15 to 20
  • You have proven experience in leading technical projects
  • You are fluent in French or Italian, with a B2 level in the other language — or the ability to reach it within six months
  • You are a manager at heart: leadership, communication, strategic vision, solution-oriented and proactive mindset
  • You live, or are willing to relocate, within one hour's drive of the site, and you embrace a mountain and outdoor lifestyle
  • An electrical qualification (BR / B2V / BC or Italian equivalent) is a plus

Benefits

Need more convincing?
  • An annual package of €55K to €58K, executive status (cadre autonome in France, quadro in Italy)
  • Remote work possible up to 2 days a week
  • Regular daytime hours, no shift work
  • A position at the top of the technical management pyramid, with a broad scope: electrical, electromechanical, mechanical, energy
  • An iconic infrastructure and a one-of-a-kind industrial site
  • An exceptional living environment between the Aosta Valley and the Chamonix valley, in the heart of the mountains and outdoor life
